With songs ranging from solo work to collaborations with Deer Hunter, John McCauley was alight with energy and urgency. New tracks and old classics mingled in a seamless set of gritty soundscapes and fervent vocals. McCauley was perfect in every arpeggio and croon. A true highlight of SXSW.
