March 15 will mark a first for electronic music band Depeche Mode. The group announced today that they will perform their first ever showcase at SXSW. Depeche Mode will perform an exclusive sneak preview of their album — due out March 26 — for select SXSW attendees.
Today at 12pm CST SXSW Platinum and Music Badge Holders can enter in a ticket lottery in hopes of winning priority entry to the exclusive show. For full ticketing details visit http://www.sxsw.com/ticket-drawings.
The band will also take part in a Q&A session with KCRW music director Jason Bentley on March 13.
The first single “Heaven” from Delta Machine was released earlier this month to critical acclaim. Depeche Mode will embark on their European tour on May 7. Their first show is in Tel Aviv. Details of a North American tour are expected to be announced soon.
