Today Portugal. The Man premiered a video from their upcoming, Danger Mouse-produced album Evil Friends, and it showcases an update on the band’s style variety.
First single “Evil Friends” features some parlor room touches and muddily uptempo guitar grooves that nicely accentuate the band’s traditional pop rock beats. The addition of such sounds enhances the anticipation for the new album, set to be out June 4, via Atlantic Records.
Portugal. The Man has seen some lineup changes these last few years, but they seem to be using this to forge ahead with a fresh take on their music. They will be hitting several festivals this Spring and Summer, as well as touring the U.S. in support of the new album.
