Austin, TX based indie rock outfit The Roosevelts are premiering this morning their lead single “Everybody Knows” from their forthcoming Cold Sheets EP, due this Spring. Watch the video below.
The duo of James Mason and Jason Kloess enlisted producer Dwight Baker, who also had a hand in producing big names Bob Schneider and Kelly Clarkson. Bandmates include drummer is JJ Johnson and bassist Dave Monsey, who both contribute their Americana-style sound in The Roosevelt’s new EP.
The making of the “Everybody Knows” video has proven to be great endeavor and is truly something to celebrate. The artists are proud to say they have had fun during its entire production. When asked about the entire process, the boys said:
“Sometimes the best way to capture a moment is to just throw a party. And in Austin you cant call it a party unless 95% of festivities happen in a backyard. We’ve done the elaborate, plot driven, music video before. It’s a lot of work, its a lot of staging, it’s a lot of asking people to look like they’re having a good time. Screw that… let’s just ACTUALLY have a good time. The coolest part is that the video was an entirely local fan-driven project. Everyone in front and behind the cameras were all fans and friends of the band. No outside producers, no hired extras, just an organic collection of local talents and Austin culture. Lucky for us we have some beautiful and talented fans.”
It has also been recently announced that The Roosevelts will be performing at this year’s SXSW 2013 on the following dates:
Mar 15: Playing In Traffic Records Official Showcase (8:00 pm)
Mar 16: Two Chords Agency Day Party (2:30 pm)
