Deltron 3030 Announces Event II Schedule for June 2013 Release

DJ Kid Koala released substantial hype this week with the announcement Deltron 3030 will finally be releasing a follow-up to their 2000 debut this summer.

While it’s been 13 years since Deltron 3030, comprised of Kid Koala, Dan the Automator and Del the Funky Homosapien, awed audiences with their concept album Deltron 3030, the trio haven’t exactly been taking time off since its release. All three members proceeded to help in the creation of the Gorillaz debut album in 2001, and each have worked on their own music since. The group has kept fans updated on the development of the sophomore release since its beginnings in 2006.

The most exciting of these may have been Kid Koala’s tweet earlier this week.

In even more other news, they tell me Deltron 3030 event II is slated for June release.

In June 2012, Deltron 3030 reunited to perform at the Luminato festival in Toronto, Ontario, and they incorporated a full horn, strings, and rhythm section into the show. The first single from Event II, “Pay the Price” was then released on January 15 of this year.
