Member of Ten Years After, Alvin Lee, has passed away due to complications after a recent surgery. He was 68 years old.
Born in Nottingham, England, Lee was a member of several bands throughout his career. In 1966, he and his bandmates became known as Ten Years After. The band is well-known for playing Woodstock festival a few years later, in 1969. Lee lead the band in a now iconic performance of “I’m Going Home.” In 1973, Lee left the band to focus on his solo career. Since then, Lee had continued to release albums. His latest was Still on the Road to Freedom, and it came out last year. No funeral plans have been announced.
