Iggy & The Stooges has confirmed via Transmission Events they will be doing the Vans SXSW Evening Outdoor Stage Showcase on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at the Mohawk.

This is the Stooges’ first appearance since playing Austin City Limits in October 2012.
Iggy Pop issued a statement in regards to Fat Possum Records releasing Ready To Die, their latest release and their first since their 1973 Raw Power album.
“My motivation in making any record with the group at this point is no longer personal. It’s just a pig-headed fucking thing I have that a real fucking group, when they’re an older group, they also make fucking records. They don’t just go and twiddle around on stage to make a bunch of fucking money….”

8:30 PM: The Stooges
10:00 PM: Middle Class Rut
10:50 PM: The Specials
12:10 PM: Sky Ferreira
1:00 AM: Ghostface Killah
