Much to the delight of fans, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, have announced several shows recently. The band recently announced that they will headline Hangout Music Festival and Firefly Music Festival, but now the tour has been expanded.
Residencies in New York City and Los Angeles have been added to the tour roster. The band will playing intimate shows at the Beacon Theatre (NYC) and the Fonda Theatre (LA).
The band has a history of returning to small venues, with their most recent small gig at the Plaza del Sol Performance Hall at Cal State Northridge in 2011.
Hopefully fans will get a taste of the new material since a new (as yet untitled) record is set to hit stores sometime in 2014. The band is currently still working in the studio.
