Watch: Atoms for Peace Premiere New Video “Ingenue”

Thom Yorke continues his literal and figurative dance with art and music in the newest video release for Atoms for Peace, “Ingenue”.

Alongside contemporary dancer Fukiko Takase, Yorke shakes his thing as best he knows how in this video from the band’s brand-new debut album, Amok, released February 26 in the U.S. The dancing might feel familiar, as the video was directed and choreographed by the same group behind Radiohead’s “Lotus Flower”.

Atoms for Peace, made up of Yorke, Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich, Beck and R.E.M. drummer Joey Waronker, Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea and Brazilian instrumentalist Mauro Refosco, has been working and playing together since 2009, but have put off recording their first album until more recently. The band will be throwing a handful of album launch events over the coming weeks, but the only full-band performances announced thus far are appearances at the Podha Festival in Slovakia on July 12, the Exit Festival in Serbia (July 10-14) and Germany’s Melt Festival (July 19-21). In the meantime, Yorke and Godrich will be performing their own series of live events this month, and next.

So until we get Atoms for Peace on a US tour run, we thankfully have such lasting memories from the new “Ingenue” video as these to enjoy.
