Jack Black and Kyle Gass of Tenacious D will be appearing at South By Southwest in Austin, TX with Shine America to promote the web comedy series Ghost Ghirls, out via Yahoo! Screen.

The two of them will be performing at a screening party presented by Yahoo! in the company’s venue at SXSW. One of the scheduled episodes to be screened is reportedly featuring a guest appearance by Val Kilmer.
The event will not be open to the public and only be open to SXSW attendees, as well as the press. The event is currently scheduled for Wednesday, March 13, 2013.
Tenacious D previously performed at South By Southwest in 2012 at the Haven.
Ghost Ghirls is a new, 12-episode web series about two hilariously inept female ghost hunters, played by Amanda Lund and Maria Blasucci, attempting to solve mysteries behind paranormal procedural, while attempting to prove their legitimacy to their clients, other visitors and themselves.
The show was created by Jeremy Konner (of Comedy Central’s Drunk History) is also directing the series. Lund and Blasucci, who are also co-creators, along with Electric Dynamite’s Black and Priyanka Mattoo, serve as executive producers of the series.
Golden Globe nominated Black will be one of the many guest stars appearing, along with Kilmer, Jake Johnson, Molly Shannon, and Jason Schwartzman.
