Photos: Santigold Live at the House of Blues

Santigold brought her eclectic, infectious brand of grooves to a sold-out crowd at the legendary House Of Blues on the Sunset Strip, Los Angeles, on February 9 2013. Showcasing her talents as a musician and entertainer, she performed a near-constant medley of hits over approximately 80 minutes, accompanied by, at various times, two backing dancers, about 40 dancing members of the audience and a pantomime horse (!).

Set opener “Go” kicked off the night, and was lapped up by the audience, shouts of “you’re amazing” clearly audible between songs. Elsewhere, she delivered note-perfect renditions of other favourites, including “Les Artistes,” “The Keepers” and “Shove It.” She ended the evening with a cover of Spank Rock’s “B.O.O.T.A.Y.,” which near lifted the roof off its hinges.
