The Melvins have announced a new album, featuring entirely cover songs. The album will feature covers of everything from Queen to David Bowie.
The band have been especially busy these past few months, touring with Tweak Bird and announcing split vinyl release with Fucked Up and Mudhoney.
The album pages homage to the musicians they are covering as Osborne states,
We REALLY like all of these songs along with the bands who actually wrote this stuff because first and foremost we are HUGE music fans.
Further, the album features several notable guest spots. Jello Biafra is featured on Roxy Music’s, “In Every Dream Home a Heartache”, Scotty Kelly of Neurosis is featured on Venom’s “Warhead”, and JG Thirwell guests on Bowie’s “Station to Station.”
