The son and only child of musician Waylon Jennings and country music artist Jessi Colter, Shooter debuted onto the country music scene with his song “4th of July” from his 2005 album Put The “O” Back In Country. His song “Busted In Baylor Country” was featured in the 2005 version of The Dukes of Hazzard; and he also portrayed his own father in the Johnny Cash biopic Walk The Line, alongside Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon, where his rendition of “Long Way From Home” (originally performed by his father) was featured on the soundtrack of the movie.

Shooter has hosted a radio show called “Electric Rodeo” for the past seven years on Sirius XM’s Outlaw Country channel. Being the self-described “son of a rebel saint,” he has become the forefront of the revival of true music, used rock n roll as his medium, and the growing hope for the next generation of young musicians.
