Olafur Arnalds Releases Stream of “This Place Was A Shelter” Off Debut Album For Now I Am Winter Set For April 2013 Release

April 2, is a day to remember with Olafur Arnalds release of his new studio album, For Now I Am Winter with his featured single This Place Was a Shelter.

Olafur Arnalds, Iclelandic composer, will release his much awaited new studio album, For Now I Am Winter, out April 2nd. The talents of composer Nico Muhly provides orchestral arrangements with first time introduced vocal on Arnalds album to the world. The voice, Arnor Dan is heard on four tracks. Arnalds has built a growing reputation of being one of the most brilliant minds amongst young composwers. This last studio album …And They Have Escaped the Weight of Darkness with piano and electronic string sounds, received notoriety and praise. His style of neoclassical with electronica influences, Arnald is able to maintain a unique style with a variety of sources to pull from. Since 2009, he has scored films and TV shows, including Another Happy Day, Broadchurch, Gimme Shelter , The Hunger Games, and Looper.
