Justin Vernon recently placed his successful Bon Iver project on hiatus, and instead began collaborating with Peter Wolf Crier and Laarks drummer Brian Moen, and one time member Phil Cook of Megafun in new project called the Shouting Matches. They first played live in December 2008 and a long awaited second show in Altoona, WI in 2010. Now they will be appearing at Coachella 2013.

Very little has been disclosed about the project, since the project has no official Facebook page or music on Spotify. Their official website has been shut down a while ago and their Myspace page has not been updated since 2008.
The pair are currently working on new material, according to their label Jagjaguwar. No word on when recordings will be released.
