February 5th will be a day to remember with Thao & the Get Down Stay Down’s latest album release, We the Common, recorded by music label Ribbon Music. This album has been long awaited since their last album release in 2009 titled Know Better Learn Faster, produced by John Congleton. “Kindness Be Conceived,” a featured track on their latest album is a duet with Joanna Newsom. Thao Nguyen’s band Thao & the Get Down Stay Down is a real treasure with their acoustic sound and heart felt lyrics.
