Hollis Brown’s new track, “Down On Your Luck” brings audiences to a cheer. The nostalgia of the 60’s has found its way to fit into the modern era with Hollis Brown’s new release.
“Down On Your Luck” is one of the tracks on Hollis Brown’s first full length album “Ride On The Train.” The track, “Down On Your Luck” incorporates soft rock melodies with soulful and sweet lyrics that can warm the soul in a car ride on a sunny day. “Ride On The Train,” full of gritty jams and soft, sweet ballads, it is anticipated to be released on March 5th via Alive Records.Their first EP was released on April 13, 2012 titled, “Nothing & the Famous No One.”
This New York based band found inspiration from Neil Young and Bob Dylan. They decided on the name “Hollis Brown” from a Bob Dylan song entitled “Ballad of Hollis Brown.” Mike Montali, singer and guitarist of Hollis Brown, thought they should find a name that can be found in a song title, like the Rolling Stones did from a Muddy Waters song.
