Damien Jurado, a folk indie singer/songwriter, Seattle-based, has been producing a multitude of sounds for more than a decade. From lo-fi cassette folk recordings in the late ’90s to a collection of fragmented audio letters from answering machines, thrift store finds, and field recordings, to electric rock albums. His tenth album, on Secretly Canadian and produced by Richard Swift, is Maraqopa and was released in February 2012. Honest, blue-sy, poetic, dreamy but down-to-earth folk, Damien Jurado will not lack to impress.
