Mike Scaccia (Ministry, Rigor Mortis, Revolting Cocks) passed on December 22, 2012 due to a sudden heart attack. He was 47 years old. He was playing with Rigor Mortis at the Rail Club in Fort Worth, Texas when he collapsed onstage. He was taken to a Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital emergency room but could not be revived and was pronounced dead.
Rigor Mortis frontman Bruce Corbitt is planning an online fundraiser for Scaccia’s family. Corbitt says:
Also, there will possibly be a Scaccia tribute/benefit show put together for them to honor Mike and also raise money to help them. It could be as soon as this coming weekend. So I will also need to know what bands are interested in being part of this or if anyone can help in any way.
