In Fall 2012, Third Man Records Vault Series made available special Jack White package. If you didn’t get enough that time around, fear not, for Vault is geared up to release their 15th package. It features Jack White & The Bricks featuring Brendan Benson, a band that did not thrive for very long but had a notable reputation during its existence. Read on for more details.
Package #15 includes a 12″ LP of Jack White & The Bricks’ July 9, 1999 live performance at the Garden Bowl Lanes in Detroit, MI (also Jack White’s 24th birthday). White himself was on vocals and guitar with Brendan Benson playing guitar as well. The two also toured in the company of bassist Kevin Peyok and drummer Ben Blackwell. Their performance featured several covers and other tracks originally meant for The White Stripes. A full track listing of the LP is available below.

Benson and White also took some time out to record a few tracks in Benson’s Detroit home, prior his Raconteurs days. These unreleased tracks are included on the 7″ demo in the Vault package and are titled “Steady, As She Goes” and “The Same Boy You’ve Always Known.”
