Listen: Stream Released of Entire Django Unchained Original Soundtrack

Talk about a “big payback.” Though the rough-and-tumble slave trade epic, Django Unchained, won’t unhitch its wagon till Christmas Day, one-of-a-kind director Quinton Tarantino has decided to spread some holiday cheer by streaming the film’s eclectic official soundtrack for free.

The wild revenge tale, a postmodern mashup of ’70s blaxploitation and the Westerns of director Sergio Leone, boasts an equally all-over-the-place soundtrack, moving from Jim Croce’s “I Got a Name,” to original pieces by legendary composer Ennio Morricone, to a James Brown–2Pac remix all in one breath. Peppered throughout with dialogue from the film, the original soundtrack also features guest spots by John Legend and the Louisiana musician, Brother Dege. Check below for this free-of-charge Christmas gift come early.
