Jack White No Longer Composing For The Lone Ranger Movie Sountrack, Replaced By Hans Zimmer

Jack White is no longer composing the soundtrack for Disney’s The Lone Ranger movie.

Jack White is one of the busiest men in the music industry. It seems he has bit off more than he can chew as he is no longer writing the score for The Lone Ranger. Consequence of Sound reports White is being replaced by Oscar winning director Hans Zimmer who scored films like The Dark Knight, Inception and The Lion King. Zimmer has previously worked with The Lone Ranger‘s director Gore Verbinski on another Disney franchise, The Pirates of the Caribbean series.

Disney had this to say about the swap:

“Oscar winner Hans Zimmer, the musical mastermind behind Disney’s and Jerry Bruckheimer Films’ Pirates of the Caribbean, has signed on to compose the score for The Lone Ranger. Jack White, who had originally been contemplated to score and has contributed several pieces of music to the production, was logistically unavailable due to scheduling conflicts that arose when the film’s release moved to July of 2013.”

The Lone Ranger stars Johnny Depp and is scheduled for release on July 3rd, 2013. You can watch the movie’s trailer below.
