The newest episode of The Simpsons brought Portland indie folk rock band The Decemberists to Springfield.
In the episode, titled “The Day the Earth Stood Cool,” the town is invaded by hipsters after Portlandia‘s Fred Armisen Carrie Brownstein, as well as comedian Patton Oswalt, move next door to the Simpsons. After enjoying the town, the new neighbors tell all their friends about it, prompting the exodus of hipsters. Check out the clip below:
