Since the release of his album, What Will We Be, in 2009, Devandra Banhart seems to have fallen off of the map, however, now the artist has announced news of an upcoming album and even proposed an upcoming tour.
According to Pitchfork, Banhart has switched labels and will be producing this album through Nonesuch instead of Warner Bros. Although there is no established date for the album release, Banhart has already decided on the title Mala. Though the artist hasn’t released any songs from the new album, he did play two new songs at a performance in Chile in February. The live performance can be viewed below and will hopefully hold you over until the long anticipated release of this new album.
