Listen: Massive Attack Producer 3D Releases Free Mixtrack “The Windmill Hill Sessions”

Massive Attack founder 3D has released a new mixtape featuring recently deceased collaborator Terry Callier.

Earlier this year American singer-songwriter Terry Callier passed away at age 67. He was influential through jazz and folk in the 1960s and 70s and his career had rejuvenation in the 90s-oos mostly because of collaborations with Massive Attack. Now, NME reports the Massive Attack producer and founder Robert Del Naja, aka 3D, has released a free mixtape featuring the talents of Callier. The mixtape is called “The Windmill Hill Sessions” and it was recorded in Bristol in 2005 and the release comes as a way to honor the legendary songwriter. In a statement 3D said:

We created a ‘mix tape’ of the pieces I worked on with Neil and Terry.I also took the liberty of stripping them back to a more personal space and cut in alternative vocals and chuckles, in an attempt to share a little of the spirit of the great man
