How to destroy angels_, the new project from Trent Reznor, wife Mariqueen Maandig, Atticus Ross and Rob Sheridan, have released their newest video off their second EP An omen_ for “Ice Age.” Like their video for “Keep It Together” from just about 4 weeks ago, this video is largely an understated rendering of a performance of the song.
Through most of the video Maandig delicately sings each verse staring out a solitary window gazing at the ocean. Behind her, mostly in shadows, the rest of the band plucks away at a variety of exotic instruments and a few well-prepared mixers to render the song’s intoxicating, offbeat melody. By the video’s end the ocean Maandig keeps calling for inches forth and delivers the “chilling” conclusion.
