Yeah Yeah Yeahs Headlining Hurricane Sandy Benefit Concert At Brooklyn’s Union Pool

The Yeah Yeah Yeahs will take a break from recording their new album to perform at a benefit concert with proceeds going to the many victims of Hurricane Sandy.

The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, which formed in New York, will be joined by other acts including Tunde Adebimpe of TV on the Radio as well as the Higgins Waterproof Magic Band.

The concert will take place at Brooklyn’s Union Pool on Saturday, December 8th, coming just days before the huge 12.12.12 relief concert reported by mxdwn here. Tickets for the show at Union Pool, which went on sale today at Brown Paper Tickets, range from $75-$100. Funds collected from ticket sales will go to Waves for Water, a non-profit organization that provides victims of natural disasters with clean water.
