Matt Pond’s new album titled The Lives Inside the Lines in Your Hand is set for release on February 5th.
It will be his first official solo album, having released previous work with his band matt pond PA. He has since dropped the “PA” from his name and will release this project with a new label, BMG. The album’s first single, “Love to Get Used,” premiered this week; Pond explains:
“The song specifically references the explorer side of my family. . .An endless loop of pride and regret, battling through a history of late nights.”
His musical career spans over a decade and includes one of Matt Pond PA’s songs (“Snow Day”) being used for a Starbucks commercial. This new album will only add to his legacy and, as he points out, “Someday I’ll stop breathing, but I’ll never stop singing.”
