Fiona Apple caps off a fantastic 2012 with new song “Dull Tool” from the This Is 40 soundtrack.

Earlier this year we reported that the music of Fiona Apple will appear in the upcoming film This Is 40. Pretty Much Amazing has reported you can now stream the song “Dull Tool” from the official soundtrack. “Dull Tool” fits Apple’s current style and could have been an outtake on her acclaimed 2012 album The Idler Wheel. This is the first song Apple has written for a film.
This Is 40 follows characters by Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann who are reprising their roles from director Judd Apatow’s earlier film Knocked Up. They are calling this a “sort-of-sequel.” This is 40 hits theaters December 21st and the soundtrack hits shelves December 11th.
