Amanda Palmer has a new video for her song “Do It With A Rockstar.” The theme of the video is a crazy Palmer gig, complete with hipsters and drag queens.
Be advised, this is definitely not suitable for work as it contains some nudity. The video features Palmer’s actual band, a porn star, and lots of glitter. The video was filmed in Oklahoma City and was directed by Flaming Lips’ Wayne Coyne. Some scenes feature the director’s home.
When talking about the nude scene in the video, Palmer notes,
“nowhere in the treatment for the video had i written “rockstar has intimacy barrier/panic attack in bed with porn star while porn star cradles rock star in madonna/child-esque pieta” but it all made sense at the time. i actually love that bit of the video the most. it drives home the actual point of the song.”
