The Joy Formidable are due to release their new album, Wolf’s Law, on January 22, 2013. Presale for the new release became available to fans as of November 8th.
Wolf’s Law is the second release from the band, after the band’s breakthrough debut album. The band’s sophomore effort is greatly anticipated as they have previously been praised by the likes of SPIN, NME, and The New York Times. Andy Wallace, who has also worked with Nirvana and Rage Against the Machine, mixed the album. It was recorded mainly in the band’s homeland of North Wales. The first US single will be “This Ladder is Ours.” Rolling Stone has called the track a “ravenous sonic assault.”
