The Stroke’s front man, Julian Casablancas, will hopefully soon contribute to the score for the film by Anja Marquardt, She’s Lost Control. That is, if the film maker can raise $50,000 from fan donations.
Kickstarter breaks down the film She’s Lost Control for us. In our modern world, there is often a dividing line between intimacy and sex. However, the film will follow Ronah, an intimacy coach in New York City, on her journey to ending this misalignment. Along the way, Ronah finds herself mixing professional intimacy with real feelings with one particular patient, Johnny. In order for this film to go into production, Maquardt needs to raise $50,000 through fan donations. Hopefully, the exciting news that The Stroke’s frontman, Julian Casablancas, will be helping with the film, will motivate people to donate so Ronah’s story will be shared with the world. According to Consequence Of Sound, the film has raised $11,633 so far. In order to make a contribution click here. Each donation amount includes a perk and the donations are tax deductible in the US. The film must raise the money by November 9th at 6:00pm, leaving a mere eleven days to raise the money.
Here’s an outlook on what can be expected if the film is put into production:
