Guns N’ Roses’ Axl Rose Talks Politics with Jimmy Kimmel

Axl Rose appeared on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” in his first live broadcast TV interview in over 20 years. The musician has been in a number of troubling incidents including the onstage falls and robber during GnR’s European tour and his legal woes with Guitar Hero for associating him with former bandmate and guitarist Slash.

The good-spirited Axl chatted with the host about politics. He said:

I don’t really vote… I would lean Democrat, I would lean Obama.

To which, Kimmel commented:

This would make a great ‘Rock the Vote’ commercial, right here.

Rose continued with a cheerful story about the “Halloween tree” he puts up in his house every year. He also reminiscned fondly over his ‘90s cornrows and revealed that Elton John is one of his favorite artists.

The cheerful Axl also generously put tickets for GnR’s Vegas shows under selects in the audience and he brought along a burger truck and gave everybody gift certificates.
