Reports have resurfaced about the Janis Joplin biopic starring Amy Adams. The movie, Get It While You Can, has been in talks since 2010 but is now closer to becoming a reality.
As Antiquiet reports, the film does not have a release date as of yet but will be directed by Lee Daniels – who also directed Precious. While Focus Features is looking into picking up the movie, it will be independently financed for now.
Production is scheduled to begin early 2013 and will actually not be the only Joplin biopic in the works. The other film will star Nina Ariana, a Broadway singer, and will be directed by Sean Durkin. The other film will be titled Joplin.
