A few years after Kylesa’s release of their album Spiral Shadow, the sludge metal/rock band has finally decided that it’s time to come out with something new. Thus, they are releasing a 12 track compilation album titled From The Vaults, Vol. 1.
As reported by Pitchfork, this compilation CD will include remixes and alternate versions of previous releases, a cover of Pink Floyd’s “Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun”, and one new track called “End Truth”. Though this is mainly just an album of already recorded tracks and alternate versions of previous releases, the band took over a year in constructing the album. Kylesa said that they really wanted to put thought into this album and give their fans something new and interesting to listen to.
