The Railroad Revival Tour was intended to be unique concert experience. Bands were going to tour by train and actually play at the train stations. The lineup featured headliners Band of Horses, Willie Nelson and John C. Reilly in a blend of Americana. Unfortunately, according to reports, the whole tour has been cancelled. The official website released this statement:
It is with extreme regret that we announce the cancellation of the 2012 Railroad Revival Tour. The decision to do so was a difficult one, but it was determined that certain complications would not permit us to host the shows in the manner intended, and that the bands and fans deserved.
Ticketholders will be receiving a full refund for all costs. All refunds are being processed and appear on your credit card statement. These will be fully processed by October 21, 2012.
Band of Horses have already announced replacement shows to compensate for the cancelled tour dates. They are currently touring in support of their new album Mirage Rock.
