The reunited Brit-pop band Blur are not done yet. They are set to headline the Rock Werchter Festival next July.
When Blur played Hyde Park after the closing ceremonies of the Summer Olympics many assumed it was going to be their last show, perhaps forever. It is now being reported that Blur isn’t done yet. They are confirmed to play the Rock Werchter festival in July 2013. They also hinted at playing more shows, perhaps a world tour.
The band recently released this statement:
Thank you for waiting… Rock Werchter is about to announce that Blur will headline next July. We’re excited.. hope to travel in 2013 to play to more of our lovely fans who we haven’t seen for a while. Don’t know where yet, we’ll tell as soon as we do..
Stand by..
It is a vague statement but it is exciting for Blur fans.
