Back in April The Band’s dummer and singer Levon Helm lost his battle with cancer and passed away peacefully with his family. Now Brooklyn Vegan reports Roger Waters has signed onto tribute event and fundraising benefit concert in memory of Helm. The event is happening next week on October 3rd at the Izod Center with a lineup that also includes My Morning Jacket, John Mayer and Gregg Allman. The proceeds to the concert go to the support the “lasting legacy of Levon Helm by helping the estate keep ownership of his home, barn and studio and to continue The Midnight Ramble Sessions.”
