Scott Walker Announces New Album Bish Bosch for December 2012 Release

It has been six years, but Scott Walker fans will be pleased to hear that a new album, Bish Bosch, is set for release December 2012. Read on for more details and a full track listing.

In 2009, Scott began writing new material but all the while was multi-tasking as he composed music for the Royal Opera House’s Duet for One Voice, a ballet choreographed by Aletta Collins. The album is described as “a tauter but more colorful experience than The Drift, with greater emphasis on processed, abrasive guitars, digital keyboards and thick silences.”

Scott was aided by co-producer, Peter Walsh. The musicians on the album include drummer Ian Thomas, guitarists Hugh Burns and James Stevenson, Alasdair Malloy on percussion, and John Giblin playing bass. The cover art pictured above is the result of collaboration between Scott, painter Ben Farquharson and designer Philip Laslett.

The album will be released for sale in the United States on December 4, 2012. It will be available via Double LP, CD, and download. A full track listing is listed below.
