The alternative rock band Yo La Tengo has announced the release of a new EP and full length album. These anticipated releases will mark the band’s first album release since 2009.
According to Consequence of Sound, the first of the two releases will be the EP, titled Stupid Things. This EP will include three versions of the album’s title track. One of these versions will even include bonus lyrics and an extended instrumental break. Stupid Things is also available in vinyl but is restricted to just 1,500 exclusive copies. Following the EP, Yo La Tengo is promising to release their yet-to-be-titled album in 2013. The long awaited album will probably drop in early January as the band has just completed mixing.
