Throbbing Gristle’s long awaited Desertshore project has finally come into fruition. The band’s covers album of Nico’s Desertshore is set to be released November 26.
Throbbing Gristle’s Peter ‘Sleazy’ Christopherson actually conceived the idea back in 2006, but his unexpected death in 2010 left the project unfinished. In honor of Christopherson, bandmates Chris Carter and Cosey Fanni Tutti finished the project. Two years and one day after Christopherson passed, the album will finally hit stores.
As reported by The Quietus, it appears Throbbing Gristle’s Desertshore / The Final Report will be a double album. We’ve included both album trailers below.
