Sleigh Bells Forced to Cancel and Reschedule Shows Due to Injury

Sleigh Bells has cancelled their upcoming appearance on the 8th Annual Pygmalion Music Festival in Champaign-Urbana, IL and the Midpoint Festival in Cincinnati, OH, both happening the weekend of September 27-29, due to reported skateboarding injury sustained to guitarist Derek Miller.

Miller made this statement via Twitter:

“Apologies for canceling Pygmalion & Midpoint. I fractured the radial bone in my right arm at a skate park in Tequesta, FL.”

“A few other shows have been rescheduled as well. My arm is healing well but we gotta play it safe so I don’t fuck it up some more.”

The band also issued the followed statement:

“Sleigh Bells want to apologize to their fans for these changes, and hope to get back to both Champaign-Urbana and Cincinnati in the near future.”

HUM, the 90s indie rock act, will be taking their place on the Pygmalion Music Festival. No word on who will be the replacement act on the Midpoint Festival.
