Anonymous Plans to Picket Evanescence Concert in Protest of Alleged Fan Bullying

Evanescence front woman, Amy Lee, and her manager Andrew Lurie have both been accused of bullying a fan to cover up sex abuse and drug abuse. In retaliation to this incident, a hacker group known as Anonymous declared online war in a House of Commons Early Day Motion. Read on for more details.

Evanescence are touring the UK in November and Anons are asked to picket their concerts in full masked gear.

This is the statement Anonymous has released as their way of taking action against Lee and Lurie. They are planning on appearing at both the Manchester Arena show on November 6 and the London show in Wembley Arena on November 9.

The development of this story began earlier this month. According to Manolith, earlier this month Lee and Lurie were allegedly connected to child pornography. The evidence was discovered on the fan website, EvThreads.com. Now, complaints are saying that Lee and Lurie have been bullying fan, Sam Smith, to cover up the entire situation. London law firm, Schillings, has been hired to help defend the two.

As stated on Classic Rock Magazine, the motion was made by MP John Hemming and in the document, it reads that the fan was “threatened with legal action unless he agreed to enter into a contract not to report allegations of criminal activity, including abuse and sexual predation, and illegal drug use.”

The firm has been accused of questionable behavior that could be ruled as illegal in the United States. There are no laws in the UK to say whether or not it truly is illegal, but there is motion to make it so.
