David Byrne Announces How Music Works Book Tour Featuring Special Guests Trent Reznor, Win Butler, Carrie Brownstein and More

Just as his new novel How Music Works has surfaced, David Byrne has announced that he will be doing a book tour at a few special locations throughout September and October. Byrne won’t be doing typical readings or book signings at his various stops along the road.  Instead, he will will be hosting discussions about content featured in his book with various special guests, including Trent Reznor, Win Butler, Carrie Brownstein and many more.  Check out the dates and discussion topics after the jump.

After the discussions, Byrne and his guests will open up the dialogue and allow audience members to ask questions relating to the topic at hand.  Byrne has been explicit about the fact that these are  discussions and not concerts, so those planning to attend should be ready for discussions that delve into the deconstruction of big musical issues in our modern world.   Byrne has equated this discussions to something similar to TED talks.
