More information has come out about Canadian DJ Kid Koala (aka Eric San)’s forthcoming album 12 Bit Blues, where limited edition LP and CD versions will come with a cardboard, hand-powered turntable kit and flexi disc.
The new album is reportedly blues album San recorded on a E-mu SP-1200 sampler and a multitrack over a three day period, before cutting up and reassembling the sounds under his interpretation.
A music video for the lead single from the album, “8 bit Blues (Chicago to LA to NY)” was previously released, filmed as one continuous shot of animation movements.
12 Bit Blues will be out on September 17, 2012 via Ninja Tune.
