The Master, an upcoming Paul Thomas Anderson film, will include a score by Radiohead’s Jonny Greenwood. The soundtrack will be released on September 11 off of Nonesuch Records, and will include 11 new compositions by Greenwood (six performed by the London Contemporary Orchestra). In addition, the soundtrack will also showcase World War II-era music by Ella Fitzgerald, Jo Stafford and more.
Greenwood and Paul Thomas Anderson have worked together in the past. In 2010, Greenwood penned the score for the Oscar-winning film, There Will Be Blood. The film will hit theatres on September 14. The film stars Philip Seymour Hoffman, Joaquin Phoenix, Amy Adams and Laura Dern.
