Florence Welch, of Florence + The Machine fame, has announced she will take a year long break.
According to a Prefix Magazine, Florence Welch is taking a year long hiatus. Florence + The Machine has achieved great success in their native land of England and headlined Reading and Leeds festivals last weekend. Their success has translated into the States and she has become a renowned by many around the world. Despite this success Florence Welch needs a break before her next album. This comes after Florence was forced to cancel a few shows earlier this summer due to an injury. In a statement Welch said:
“There’s a big ‘take a year off’ plan. The record company have put no pressure on me for the next album. They’ve said I can have as long as I want.”
Welch fans need not worry because her new electro/dance side project Simply Side Project will be touring and releasing material in the next year.
