Just when Americans starting thinking they’d missed their last chance to see the famed electronic duo, Orbital has just announced that they will be playing a selection of West Coast dates this fall. Check out their tour dates after the jump.
Orbital is recently back from a long hiatus with their release of Wonky, which was their first new album in 8 years. The announcement of this tour comes as big news for brothers Phil and Paul Hartnoll. Although Orbital made an appearance at a couple of festivals back in 2010, they haven’t formally toured in the US since 2001. When Orbital arrives to the West Coast this fall, they will be headlining several festivals, along with a couple of shows in major cities. Fret not East Coasters, Orbital has also announced that a selection of shows will be announced in the near future.
Here’s what Paul Hartnoll had to say of Orbital’s return to the States:
I really miss playing in America! We’ve done some of our best gigs there over the years. Having done our first ever tour in 1992 with Meat Beat Manifesto we used to be quite regular. This has been the longest we’ve gone without touring the states so it’s well overdue! We’re really lookin forward to returning and seeing what you’ve all been up to while we were away!
