My Morning Jacket are in the midst of a expansive summer tour and over the weekend they headlined the legendary Newport Folk Festival. They were joined by many special guests during the evening that made their set very interesting. Conor Oberst of Bright Eyes (who is also in Monsters of Folk with Jim James) and Ben Sollee joined for “Smokin From Shootin”and Brittany Howard from Alabama Shakes sang during a cover of The Band’s “It Makes No Difference.” Sollee came back with folk singer Laura Veirs for “Wonderful (The Way I Feel).” The entire set is now available for streaming which you can watch below.
