The Georgia-based alt-rock band, the Whigs, have released a new single for free download for their new album, Enjoy the Company, which is due on September 18th.The brand new track titled “Waiting” is sure to get fans excited for the band’s forthcoming tour. The Athens, Georgia garage rock trio consists of Parker Gispert (lead vocals and guitar), Julian Dorio (drums) and Timothy Deaux (bass). The gang formed in 2002 and have since released three studio albums and toured with the likes of Kings of Leon, the Black Keys and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club. They have also made multiple appearances on Late Night television, having appeared on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” “The Late Show with David Letterman” twice, “Late Night with Conan O’Brien” among others. The Whigs’ classic rock aesthetics have been met with tons of buzz and accolades from various media plugs. Rolling Stone Magazine named the band one of their 10 Artists to Watch in March 2006.
